Located a few kilometers outside Abcoude, on the waterfront of the river Gein, you will find our bed and breakfast “De Vink”.

De Vink is based in a former coaching inn. First descriptions of the inn date back to the 17th century. The inn was a meeting place of artists and writers. Our rooms have been named after former regular guests the artist Mondriaan and the writer Nescio.

The two rooms and s small kitchen are in the former “drive through” barn. You can use the refrigerator and coffee, thee and local made cookies are always available. In the morning your breakfast will be served in the annex with a view over our garden and the river.

Enjoy the beauty and peace of nature just from your room or go out for a walk in the surroundings or make a trip by bicycle. De Vink is only a footstep away from Amsterdam and suitable for day-trips to the city.
Let yourself be inspired by the peace and beauty of the surroundings.

Prachtige kamer met uitzicht over de Gein, mooi ingericht, veel privecy, heerlijk groot bad (je eigen spa!), uitgebreid ontbijt, echt genieten. Mooie omgeving.

For improvement
Voor alleen overnachten zouden wij het te prijzig vinden, maar als je tijd hebt om ervan te genieten is dit echt een bezoek waard. Twee ramen kunnen niet verduisterd worden, dat zou misschien wel handig zijn.

The place is lovely, design and esthetics are high priority to the owner. Everything is new and well taken care of. The room upstairs is very spacious good for a family with 2 young childre.

For improvement
The stairs for the upstairs room are very steep.

Wonderfully located in the vicinity of Amsterdam. We enjoyed walking and
cycling in the area nearby. The hosts were very helpful in pointing
out the must sees in Amsterdam, picturesque villages and nature
nearby. We loved the extended Dutch breakfast. We will recommend De
Vink to our friends planning to stay in the Netherlands.

Niets dan lof! Een zeer gastvrij ontvangt in de tuin met een lekker koel glas wijn. We hebben geslapen in een hele mooie kamer op de bovenverdieping met uitzicht op het water. Het ontbijt werd geserveerd in de serre en was een echt zondagsontbijt!
Kortom we hebben genoten en wensen Jikkemijn heel veel succes tioe met haar pas geopend B&B.
We komen nog eens terug voor een bezoek naar Amsterdam en omgeving.
