This English-style country house nwas completed in 1902 and was officially designated a national monument in the year 2000. The current owners acquired the villa in 2004. Six rooms were converted into highly luxurious guest accommodations. Each of the six spacious rooms has individual authentic elements and luxurious amenities. For instance, one of the rooms comes with a sunbed, while another features a covered balcony. The villa is surrounded by woods and a park-like garden with several terraces.An inviting place on colder days is the cosy lounge. Guests are also welcome to relax in the central sauna. The Villa is situated in the village of Almen in the scenically beautiful Gelderse Achterhoek region. The surroundings are very rural with woods and meadows, offering countless walking and cycling options. The villa looks out over the Twente Canal .The nearby medieval Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Deventer has many well-presepreserved historic buildings and lots of interesting shops.

Positive Experiences
The breafkast is very complete and with fresh products. The room is quite spacious and very clean. The sauna is a plus. The most positive remark goes for the owners who are super friendly and very helpful.

Heel vriendelijke gastvrouw, mooie kamer, fijne badkamer, uitgebreid ontbijt, prachtige lokatie. Jammer dat we maar 1 nachtje bleven!

For improvement
De prijs ligt wat hoog voor een B&B, maar dat is het wel waard. Het trappenhuis is wat gehorig.

We hebben gereserveerd nadat we de villa hadden bezichtigd. Dus we wisten waar we naar toe gingen.
Al onze gasten ( we waren met 12) deelden dezelfde mening: een heel mooi verblijf!

For improvement
Advies aan de gastvrouw: iets minder vaak vragen of alles naar wens is tijdens het ontbijt. (dit is niet onaardig bedoeld hoor). Misschien iets grotere thee- en koffiekannetjes?

Geweldige bed & breakfast in een prachtig landelijke omgeving. Rust en ruimte in en rond de villa. Service, gastvrijheid, heerllijk ontbijt, mooie kamer in stijl, bijzonder aardige gastvrouw, kortom, we hebben genoten!

Heerlijke luxe B&B, toch niet te duur! Enorm goed en uitgebreid ontbijt. Kamer niet gehorig en heerlijke bad-en douche gelegenheid. Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw, beslist gastvrij.
