A Golden Age House located in the heart of Amsterdam, was built by a physician in the 17th century. The hotel is located on the Leidsegracht (Leidse Canal), one of the most prestigious canals in Amsterdam. Enjoy peace and tranquility, since the Leidsegracht is not a throughfare. At night, the canal and bridges are lit and create a wonderous atmosphere! The rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped with shower, bathroom, t.v., refrigerator, and the possibility to make tea or coffee. The rooms peacefully overlook the courtyards of other canalhouses ( grachtenhuizen). Within walking distance, you will find a main shopping centre in de Leidsestraat, public transportation, restaurants, money exchanges, the Dutch Tourist Information Centre (VVV) and nighttime entertainment. The hotel is also close to museums, exhibitions and other cultural events. You will receive a warm welcome from proprietors Piet Piller, daughter Louise and son-in-law Frits.

Huge room with a lovely view over the gardens. Excellent breakfast. Great location.Nice hosts.

Could monitor the rooms a bit more - we ran out of toilet paper!
