To live on a houseboat is unique. Waterbirds are swiming around your locatrion and show you with pride their young breed. You can swim and catch fish.This is your chance to make acquintance with the live on a houseboat.
Amsterdam-North is a big quarter of Amsterdam. The quarter is more quiet than the busy centre of the city, special the Nieuwendammerkade with the waterfront at the back side and the woods of a big green parc in front.
From the Nieuwendammerkade you can reach the center of the city pretty fast. After a walk of seven minutes you can take the buss which will bring yo to the Central Station within five minutes. All the local busses, the tramway and the subway will start fromn the Central Station Square (with tourist office, hiring out bicycles)

Located in a very quiet area, surrounded by a beautiful park, well connected to the center of the city, this B&B is romantic, relaxing, with all comforts... enchanting.

The old couple are very nice, the room have everything you needed. They even provide a sparkling wine and decorate the bed with petal as they know we are on our honeymoon trip! Everything here are good, we love to stay here!
For improvement
The only problem is the location, you have to walk thru a park then you will reach the bus station. They will offer you a ride from the ferry pier to the boathouse, but what they told us to call them upon we arrive the central station, but we can't find any paid phone! Better buy a local phone card at the kiosk before you leave the train station.

la situation géographique du bed & breakfast nous a permis de vivre au rythme des hollandais : séjour au calme au bord de l'eau, un peu de vélo avant de prendre le ferry et visiter amsterdam. Merci à Yvonne de nous avoir faciliter le trajet le 1er et dernier jour en nous amenant au ferry en voiture.

Yvonne und Henk sind sehr nett und sympathisch und kümmern sich rührend um ihre Gäste. Auch das Hausboot ist schön und die Lage hat uns gut gefallen. Wir würden immer wiederkommen! Einziger Nachteil ist die relative Distanz zur Altstadt- obwohl die Verbindung mit Fähre und Fahrrad perfekt funktioniert...

De eigenaren zijn super vriendelijke, gastvrije mensen! Je hebt een aparte kamer, waarbij je douche en toilet deelt, alles is mooi schoon en je ontbijt kun je gewoon op je kamer opeten. je hoeft ook niet gehaast weer te vertrekken. Heerlijk. Verder zijn bussen naar de stad dichtbij en het is te fietsen. De rust van noord is fantastisch.

Niet echt makkelijk te verbeteren, maar de kamer waar wij in lagen had hele kleine ramen, waardoor je niet het gevoel had dat je op het water zat en het ook niet kon 'beleven'. Dat was een beetje jammer.

We enjoyed the stay onboard of the houseboat very much. Listening to the splashing water in bed at night was cosy. The morning started with a delicious breakfast. Yvonne and Henk were so friendly and hospitable. The 2 rooms downstairs are ideal for a family or 4 persons, who belong together because then you´ve got the whole deck for your own.
We enjoyed the calm evenings on the boat after busy days in the city.

There is just one word which describes this place correctly: AMAZING!
The location is easily to find and very close to the centrum but still in a wonderful peaceful and quiet area - directly located to a park! So everybody has the choice to walk to the bus or to the ferry which takes you to the centrum really quick! However, it is also very car-friendly!
First of all our hosts have been so lovely, there welcomed us so friendly that we felt like home since the first moment we entered the house(boat). We booked the room on top of the boat which has a nice terrace and and a little kitchen where you can cook your own meals and have breakfast! The bathrroom is awesome and very clean!
All in all we would love to come back to the lovely place and would recommend it to everybody!!
For improvement
There are two little things that could need improvement - the bed could be a little bigger - for two people on hot days it could be a little to cosy ;) and some darker curtains would be nice too, but these things do not prevent you from relaxing :))
