House in a street with a garden near shops,cafe's and restaurants.Tram 2 from the Centraal station stops at the Hoofddorpplein near the house.In 10 minutes you walk to the Vondelpark.It's a room with a direct connection to the garden with a terras,where you can smoke.The bathroom with shower and toilet you share with the owner.You can make coffee and tea at the room.The breakfast is ready every morning.Parking a 8 euro for 24 hours on the Stadionsquare or at the World Fashion Centre,very near the house.
Wireless internet is possible.Electric cool box availabel.

Innkeeper was very courteous and considerate. Room was neat, clean, and had a private door to the garden. Coffee and tea could be made in the room.

A small desk or work table would have been nice to have.

Très prés du tram qui va dans le centre vile ; prix raisonnable

Le petit déjeuner dans un coin "style placard ".Toute petite chambre .cadenas sur la porte de la cuisine !!!!!
Avertir ceux qui viennent en voiture ( comme nous ) qu'il existe des parkings à prix très intéressants

Everything: the bed was very comfortable and big, we were better even than in our own house...the terrace was very nice, and she allowed us to be there whenever we wanted. We could arrive at any time in the night (without making a lot of noise, of course), and she was very nice with us, she asked us what we wanted for breakfast...The tram line was very close to her house, everything was perfect, we totally reccommend it!
For improvement
Maybe it's a bit far away from the city center, but Amsterdam is not big at all and you can easily walk it. The only problem was that we had very bad weather when we were there, so we had to take the tram almost every day, but it's only 2.60 €...it wasn't a problem at all.

very comfortable environment with reasonable price, also it is easy to locate a supermarket, restaurant and tram station by a few minutes walk from the guesthouse. You can start your trip after a good breakfast.

Good welcome. Not far from tram line n°2. Pleasant district with many shops. Peaceful and restful place to stay in.
For improvement
The kettle didn't work but it was replaced after we left. The opening and closure of the door which looks onto the garden was hard and air was passing through.
Not the most practical place when you are three with a baby.

Handige locatie, dichtbij het cntrum van Amsterdam. Fietsen waren te huur.

Ontbijt zo onverzorgd. Slecht brood; voor een kwartje per stuk kun je in een winkel al verse broodjes kopen, dus begrijpen wij het niet. 1 soort worst in de verpakking met de prijs erop of er was kaas. En potten zoet beleg.
De waterkoker functioneerde niet; eerste reaktie van mevrouw was "ja maar daar kan ik niks aan doen"?????!!! Zijn wij de gast of niet? Later kwam ze wel met een oplossing.
De fietslampjes zaten in de fietstas; belt ze ons op waar de lampjes gebleven waren, zaten er gewoon in.
We hebben ons er niet welkom gevoeld en zijn de tweede ochtend zalig bij Bagels&beans gaan ontbijten.
Jammer, hadden dit graag als een vast adres willen houden, maar hier gaan we niet meer terug.

The innkeeper is really kind and nice. She helped us a lot at her place. Although the room is originally for two people with only a double bed, she added a comfortable airbed for one of us (I have two friends with me). There are a lot of travel books and useful information for us about Amsterdam as well. We enjoy our stay so much at oud-zuid and we are particularly impressed by the small garden next to our room!!!

Point of departure
We felt really welcome, had a good breakfast everyday and really enjoyed our time in Amsterdam. Although out of the centre of Amsterdam it is really accessible, close to Vondelpark which is nice to cycle through. Host was helpful and friendly!
For improvement
At night I was a little cold but we were staying at one of the coldest times of the year!
