Enjoy peace and quite Gortershoek.
Gortershoek is located in the forest area of south east Friesland. Situated 400 meters from the street, Gortershoek sits peacefully and looks out on open fields and forest.
While at Gortershoek you can enjoy a tastey breakfast, a tranquil night and should you wish a relaxing massage,a Chi Neng Qigong session or a 'sit' in the ho tub. Upon request we can prepare diner for you.
The surrounding area including nature reserves such as the Drents Fries Forest and Fochterloeerveen (a living morass) offer plenty of possiblility for hiking and/or biking.

Geweldige ontvangst, verzorging door gastheren, rust, hot-tub, het uitzicht, leuke restaurants in de omgeving, het gezellige huisje, overheerlijk ontbijt. Je bent er echt even helemaal uit. Dit is een aanrader.

Ongelooflijk rustige ligging, zeer vriendelijke en hulpvaardige eigenaren, overigens bereid om na vooraankondiging te koken.

Er is geen restaurant in de onmiddellijke omgeving; ± 10km verder in Oosterwolde te over.

Point of departure
Basically, everything was very good. The (wide) view was great, the cleanliness was good, there were nice and helpful hosts, breakfast was really well done. The beds are perfect. You can turn them into an upright position, so that you can sit comfortably.
For improvement
The wireless internet was down, so we had to sit in a private room of the owners to connect the laptop. This worked fine, but it is nicer if you have internet in your own room.
