Our B&B is situated in the heart of the lively village of Hengelo (G), in the district of Bronckhorst, near shops, cafes and restaurants. We offer 2 spacious rooms with 2 extra long beds (220 cm) with adjustable bed bases. One of our rooms has a small spare room with an additional single bed, a table and a basin. Both rooms have their own bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
The rooms are supplied with cutlery/crockery and have a kettle and a coffee maker. Guests can use the microwave oven in the communal space. Recently refurbished, the rooms have a South facing terrace and private use of the garden, wheelchair access, top cooling and are suitable for housemite allergy sufferers.
Breakfast can be served in your room, in the garden or in the large communal room. Please feel free to come and go as you wish. For information on events and activities in the area please visit www.vvvbronckhorst.nl.

Positive Experiences
We had wonderful 5 nights at de Haas in de Bedstee in Hengelo. The room is big with 2 very comfortable twin beds. The bidet in the bathroom is a real plus - first B & B we stayed that comes with a bidet. The host Iet and Richard had being fantastic hosts taking care of all our needs and providing a very nice breakfast.

The B & B has a beautiful garden with lounge chairs where we can sit and enjoy the sun.

The Hengelo village is within walking distance and around there many cafe and restaurants. It has many awesome which you can cycle. The host will help you rent bicycles during your stay in Hengelo.

Tips: it is easy to get to Hengelo from Amsterdam. Just take the train to Zupthen ( need to change train at Arnhem). Just outside Zutphen train station, take bus 51 ( E4.30 per person one way) to Hengelo ( stop at Banninkstraat bus stop). The host of De Hass B & B will then pick you up from this bus stop.

For improvement
The only improvement I can think of is to remove the check-in desk. De Haas is a beautiful home and somehow the check-in desk make it seem like a hotel.

Mooie ruime kamer met heerlijke bedden, fijne douche, vloerverwarming en voor iedereen toegankelijk. 's morgens ontbijt met vers gebakken brood. Goed begin van de dag. Kortom heerlijk weekend geweest. Petra & Ruud

Wij fietsen graag en in deze streek de omgeving is prachtig. Wij hebben vele overnachtingen gemaakt via Bed and Breakfast, maar Haas in de Bedstee in Hengelo (Gld) overtreft alles. HÈT beste Bed and Breakfast van de afgelopen 2 jaar. Achterin het pand bevindt zich zowel een gemeenschappelijke keuken als een gemeenschappelijke woonkamer voorzien van alle gemakken. Er is een prachtige veranda buiten met stoelen en een mooi uitzicht. Ontbijt was met heerlijk zelfgebakken brood. Gastvrijheid was super. We komen zeker terug! Iet en Richard hartstikke bedankt voor ons heerlijke weekend! In één woord: GEWELDIG!!

Prachtig huis, privacy goed, heerlijke bedden (2.20m lang!) en gastenverblijf en badkamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Mooi te zien dat Haas in de Bedstee uiterst effectief met duurzame energie omgaat. Super service, werkelijkwaar! Alles was bespreekbaar, ontbijt in het zonnetje op het terras. Wij komen zeker terug, onze complimenten!

Vriendelijke mensen. Goed ontvangst en de kamer was super. Mooie tuin op het zuiden waar je lekker kunt zitten. Heerlijke bedden. En een goed verzorgde badkamer. Het ontbijt was ook super. Heerlijk vers gebakken brood. Niks op aan te merken!

Een paar kleine dingen die we miste. Bijvoorbeeld een grotere prullenbak en een klok!
