The house a national monument dating 1694 is ideally situated for everyone who wants to visit Amsterdam (15min) the railway station is on a short walk, as well as the famous open air museum De Zaanse Schans wich is just at the other site of the river Zaan. You can park free along the street as long as you want.

On a short drive are the beach 18 km, Volendam and Marken 25 km and Alkmaar 24 km or explore the Zaanstreek a unique area of water, wind and green meadows, with natural beauty and the smell of factory's, wooden houses from the 17th century, churches, stately merchanthouses, and award winning present architecture, with it's rich past of mills and industrial monuments.

Hosts are intelligent, cultured, friendly, and willing to share knowledge of Dutch culture and sights. The room was quiet, and well-located near a train line. I hope to return here.

Deze bed & breakfast bracht ons precies wat wij nodig hadden. Niet te ver rijden van Amsterdam, serene rust, welness, ruimte en ontspanning. Buiten was het koud, maar binnen comfortabel warm. Het tweepersoonsbad en de sauna waren precies wat wij zochten. Het Koopmanshuis is prachtig, van buiten en van binnen! We kregen een rondleiding van de gastvrouw in hun eigen deel van het huis, prachtig! Het verse ontbijt 's morgens was overheerlijk. Ik zie ons hier zeker terugkeren!

Erg leuke locatie (vlakbij vanalles) en een héél goede service. Heerlijke sauna en een heerlijk bubbelbad en goede bedden. Niets dan goeds eigenlijk. Oh ja, het ontbijt was ook UITMUNTEND zo goed en veel!

Wonderful B&B with gorgeous rooms and very good value for money. The area is very quiet, hardly any restaurants or pubs around, but the trainstation is just round the corner and trains to Amsterdam run very often.
