- Excellent location: In the old town with beautiful houses around and by a small canal, calm and quiet
- The "small" room is in fact a separate two-storied house and has a very interesting location in a small inner courtyard to which you can get through a narrow passage between houses.
- This "small" room is quite cozy and has its own kitchen downstairs.
For improvement
- It was a bit cool in the rooms (end of October).
- Towels and toilet paper were not at visible place and had to be looked for in drawers.

onverhoopt moesten we onze vakantie verzetten, 3 dagen voor de geplande aankomst konden we het verblijf nog een week verplaatsen. Geen probleem.

De kleine achterkamer is eigenlijk een schuur/atelier met bed en keukentje. Je zit tussen de opslagrekken met boeken/ordners/schilderspullen. Niet echt een leuke vakantiesfeer om in te verkeren.
Verder is het appartementje helemaal niet geïsoleerd en komt de verwarming van 2 kleine electrische kacheltjes, waarvan er 1 stuk was. Resultaat: het vroor op de benedenverdieping net zo hard als buiten. Toen ik hierover ging klagen kreeg ik de tip het enige werkende kacheltje strategisch te positioneren zodat de warmte zich hopelijk beter zou verdelen. Niet erg constructief, niet echt klantvriendelijk. Dat kan beter!
Dit appartement zou ik niet aanraden aan vakantiegangers.

Located a few steps away from city centre ( 5-10 minutes walking ) it's a perfect location for a couple who wants to visit Leiden and nove around with ease.
The owner is a really kind and polite lady whom gave us a warm welcome. We stayed in the Blue Room, confortable and with a good view. Private bathroom was just in front of the door so it's easy to' access.
For improvement
If you plan visiting in winter, pelasse consider that Blue Room is quite cold especially because of a leaking window which let all cold wind pass in.

Bij aankomst was ze aardig maar dat was ook echt alles. We vroegen gewoon normaal of het mogelijk was om eerder weg te gaan en je geld terug te krijgen of de ene week eerst betalen en dan de andere week (we verbleven er twee weken) maar ze deed er echt heel raar en achterdochtig over.
Gelukkig hadden we een eigen deur en hoefden we haar dus helemaal niet meer te zien. We voelden ons echt niet op ons gemak daar en volgens mij doet ze het ook echt alleen maar voor het geld en niet om mensen te helpen.
De volgende keer betaal ik liever iets meer geld voor betere/aardigere service, want het enige dat ze heeft is dat ze goedkoop is en dat ze in de buurt van het centrum ligt.
Een echte afrader dus!

A small but cosy apartment, which offered all needed for a young couple wandering around Leiden and nearby cities. We rented bikes from the train station and that way the central station and city centre were only in 5 minutes away. It was possible to prepare your own breakfast and even cook a simple dinner in the apartment. In every way this was a cheap option to spend a week in Leiden. Own entrance gave some privacy and made it feel like “home” instead of hotel room.
For improvement
Due to cold weather it was also quite cold in the apartment. There were two movable heaters to use, but still it was a bit cold during the colder days. It was good idea to have flipflops to wear because of 1) the slightly cold floor and 2) wet floor in the toilet after showering.
