Near Bio-sciencepark, Naturalis + LUMC.
A wonderful and quiet B&B in Leiden. On WALKINGDISTANCE of CENTRAL STATION, shops and restaurants. Motorway A44 is very near. FREE PUBLIC PARKING in front of the house. You have a lot of privacy in the nicely decorated rooms with your OWN BATHROOM and shared KITCHEN. There are coffee- and teamaking facilities and FREE WIRELESS INTERNET. Breakfast is served on an agreed time. In summer even in the garden. The near surroundings have a lot to offer. You can enjoy nature right in front of the house in 'Het Bos van Bosman' and visit a lot of different museums in the historic centre of Leiden. By train you easily can visit Amsterdam (SCHIPHOL-AIRPORT 15 MINUTES), Haarlem, Den Haag, Delft, Utrecht and Rotterdam. By bus or bicycle you can go to the BEACHES in Katwijk and Noordwijk or in spring to 'DE KEUKENHOF' in Lisse. We would love to welcome you in 'Het Vogelhuis'.

We stayed 3 days in this very comfortable, clean, well presented accommodation. Excellent and varied breakfast. The use of a well fitted-out kitchen was an additional plus point. Owner helpful and attentive at all times. Het Vogelhuis is a 10 minute walk from Leiden railway station through the university campus and woodland. Those coming by car will find plenty of street parking. Can thoroughly recommend.

It was one of the best quality / price places I have ever been to...incredible clean and the owners very very nice and friendly; besides, the breakfast was very good too...even if was not in the center of the city, walking it was about 10 minutes away. I fully recommend it to anyone who is travelling through Leiden.

Er is wat ons betreft helemaal niets op het Vogelhuis aan te merken ; alles is dik in orde , De kamers zijn smetteloos schoon en gezellig , de bedden comfortabel , het ontbijt is iedere dag anders en verdient een dikke 10 ! Jan is een perfecte gastheer. Wij hebben het Vogelhuis dan ook aanbevolen bij het bedrijf waar mijn man werkt.

This website is frustrating. I just typed a long entry and lost all of it through not having filled in my 'company'...since i'm not a company...
Anyway, the place was great. In a quiet part of Leiden, 15-20 mins walk from station, good base to explore area.
Good sized room with table , sofa, TV as well as beds. Kettle and fridge provided. Private bathroom next door.
Varied and extensive breakfasts delivered upstairs to us at time of our choosing.
Friendly service .

Vanwege een onderzoek in het LUMC moesten we in Leiden overnachten. Het Vogelhuis bleek ook daarvoor de perfecte gelegenheid. We hopen in leukere omstandigheden nog eens terug te komen!

Samen met mijn dochter heb ik een fantastische midweek doorgebracht in Leiden. Museum Naturalis was vlakbij. We kwamen eigenlijk nog tijd tekort om al onze plannen te realiseren.

Wij waren deze keer neergestreken in 'Het Vogelhuis' in Leiden voor ons jaarlijkse zussenweekend. Het was in één woord grandioos!
- We zijn verwend met ontbijt en gastvrijheid.
- Heerlijke ruime kamer met lekkere douche.
- Van alle gemakken voorzien voelt het echt als
een thuis.
- Petje af voor de goede verzorging en de
perfecte accomodatie.
- Het is hier een heerlijke plek om van te
genieten.
- Het was goed vertoeven, alles perfect
verzorgd, lekker geslapen!
- Helemaal toppie, voor herhaling vatbaar.

In de kamers op de begane grond worden de matjes nat tijdens het douchen, misschien een extra matje neerleggen.
