The attactive former town hall of Midwolda forms the location of Brodie's self-catering apartments and B&B .
The harbour and beach on the north side of the Oldambt Lake are within easy walking distance and there are shops, restaurants and galleries nearby. In the neighbouring village of Oostwold there is a Pitch & Putt course and an aerodrome. Tarpan horses and Highland cattle graze in the nearby nature reserves. This unspoilt area is the answer to those seeking peace and quiet, while the busy town of Winschoten, just 6km away, offers a variety of shops, restaurants, cinemas and theater and is famous for its beautiful Rose Garden. The city of Groningen is twenty minutes and the German border only fifteen minutes drive away.
