Active farm with 120 cows and 4 guestrooms and a bedstead. Situated in rural surroundings overlooking the Princes Margriet kanaal (canal). Very good starting point for nature lovers. Many bicycle/ car and walking routes nearby. Are you looking for peace and quiet, stunning views and a solid farmers’ breakfast, this is the place for you!

Positive Experiences
Na aankomst (10 augustus, fietsend in de regen) ruim een uur moeten wachten totdat er iemand thuis kwam. Nonchalant ontvangst: er is iets mis met uw boeking! De (reeds 10 dagen eerder) gereserveerde kamer met eigen sanitair zou dubbel zijn geboekt. Er was wel een kamer met gedeelde badkamer en gedeeld toilet op de gang. Dat was iets wat wij niet wilden. Voorstel van de gastvrouw was om dan maar naar het verderop gelegen hotel te gaan (weer op de fiets en de regen in, na een uur onbehaaglijk wachten). Het enige (bij reservering aanbevolen) restaurant was gesloten. Bij melding dat we uit gingen om te eten werd dit (bekende feit, werd bij ontbijt verteld) niet gemeld. Wij gingen, in de regen, hier naartoe om aldaar bij de plaatselijke bevolking naar een alternatief te informeren. De prijs van de overnachting zijn we in goed overleg overeengekomen.

Mooie omgeving, rustig en ligt heel centraal. Mooie locatie.Aardige gastheer en vrouw.
Goed ontbijt.

For improvement
Wij vonden de kamers te koud
Er was slechts een electrische kachel aanwezig.
Voor deze tijd van het jaar te koud, de bedden waren daardoor ook koud.
De website moet bijgewerkt worden. Prijzen daarop kloppen niet meer.

Ontbijt was goed, leuke boerderij voor de kids, die kunnen zich er prima vermaken, mooie ligging in het Friese landschap.

For improvement
We sliepen in het woonhuis op de zolder, we hadden wel wat last van de muggen.

Gea was a wonderful host and and showed how much she loved doing the B&B. She gave suggestions for travel, things happening in the area and restaurants. Breakfast in the house with wonderful breads. Meeting the family was nice.

For improvement
A kettle for hot water might have been nice in the room and drinking glasses or mugs.

Positive Experiences
1) A very welcoming and helpful host, answering a number of questions we had about places to see and things to do in the Netherlands. Her English was much better than our Dutch!

2) A generous and delicious breakfast.

3) Quiet cows. We were not awakened when the cows were milked at 6 in the morning.

For improvement
1) Finding the place - the English instructions on the website were a bit confusing, and the GPS left us in the town of St Nicolaasga, almost 2km from the farm.

2) Sharing the toilet and bathroom with the host family - although there were no conflicts. When the new guest building is done in a few weeks, this will no longer be an issue.
