Den Ulch, gelegen net buiten de vroegere Tolsteegpoort, dankt zijn naam aan de 15de eeuwse Herberg Den Ulch. Met Bed and Breakfast wordt die eeuwenoude gastvrijheid weer nieuw leven ingeblazen.
Den Ulch ligt in het Museumkwartier, aan de rand van het Zocherplantsoen en herbergt, naast Bed and Breakfst, een Galerie en Meubelmakerij.

Positive Experiences
sehr schönes, gut erhaltenes und gepflegtes,niederländisches Stadthaus,gute Lage.
Unser Zimmer war groß, hell und freundlich eingerichtet.
Das Badezimmer ist neu und bietet alles, was ein Touristenherz braucht.Die Vermieter stellen ihren Gästen ein eigenes Frühstückszimmer zur Verfügung.
Tee, Kaffee, Wasser kann der Gast zu jeder Zeit, nach seinem Gustus trinken.
Das Vermieterehepaar ist sehr freundlich und nett und sehr bemüht.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig in Ordnung. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl in diesem Haus und werden beim nächsten Utrechtaufenthalt wieder dort Gäste sein.

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen, nette kamer, goed geslapen en een zeer uitgebreid ontbijt! Wij zullen dit adres zeker onthouden voor een volgende keer.

- Zeer stijle trap (moeilijk te bereiken door mensen met beperkingen)
- Netheid ontbrak wat (hondenhaar,...)
- Gastheer deed niet open op afgesproken tijdstip
- Niet doorgegeven dat er € 5 bijkwam als er slechts voor één nacht geboekt werd

Very nice welcoming and delicious breakfasts. Every service available (TV, internet (WIFI), private shower, toilets, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, water boiling machine, free coffee and tea, laundry wash machine and dryer, place for bicycle inside, close to transportation (bus and train))

Bed and Breakfast Den Ulch is a wonderful place in Utrecht, which I would recommend to everyone who is looking for a cheap and nice place to stay in Utrecht, calm and safe, near the most beautiful part of the city.

The innkeeper was helpful and polite. There was an outside rooftop sitting area just off the common room. Coffee and tea were available at no extra charge. A nice, generous Dutch breakfast was served.

For improvement
Checkout time of 10:00 am is early. I barely had time to finish breakfast before I was being reminded to clear out. Did not make me feel welcome or that my business was valued. Could have offered to let me have another hour. As it was, I had no time to shower or do anything other than pack and leave.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt, mooie en schone kamers. Bed and breakfast zit in een rustige straat langs de gracht. Ongeveer 15 minuten lopen naar het centrum.

For improvement
Let op: De badkamer moet je delen, maar voor ons was dat helemaal geen probleem.
