De woning is gelegen buiten de dorpskern en tegen een bosrand, binnen een gebied waar wegen, verkaveling, waterlopen en bebouwing nog vrijwel oorspronkelijk zijn.
De kunstmatige glooiing in de achtertuin biedt een riant uitzicht vanuit het souterrain en vergroot de expressie van het zwevende volume van het woonhuis. In dit souterrain bevinden zich de twee gastenverblijven met een eigen douche, wastafel en toilet. Deze gastenverblijven (28m2) beschikken over een eigen ingang en overdekt terras (8m2). De gastenverblijven sluiten aan op het terras (18m2) waar het op zomerse dagen aangenaam vertoeven is.
