De twee zeer comfortabele kamers van Landgoed Wilgenheerd liggen op de begane grond en hebben ieder een eigen terras. Wilgenheerd ligt op een prachtige plek aan de Hoornse vaart vlakbij Wehe- den Hoorn en doet zijn naam eer aan, het terrein is beplant met vele imposante oude wilgen, die vroeger dienstdeden als windsingel rondom het voormalige fruitbedrijf.
De boerderij wordt aan de noord – en de zuidzijde omsloten door bosbeplanting van Staatsbosbeheer, de oostzijde ligt aan het water en heeft evenals de westzijde een fraai en weids uitzicht over het Groninger land. De gasten van Wilgenheerd wanen zich door de bijzondere sfeer die de aanleg van erf en tuin oproept af en toe even in Frankrijk.
