Frankrijk-Noord ligt in het uiterste westelijke puntje van Walcheren, Zeeland, waar we elke avond getrakteerd worden op het rustgevende licht van de vuurtoren en de zilte zeelucht. Onze boerenwoning ligt op circa 900 meter afstand van de Noordzee en is eeuwen geleden gebouwd, om precies te zijn in 1639. De woning en bijgebouwen liggen op 5000 vierkante meter. Een paar jaar geleden hebben we de boerenschuur omgevormd tot het belangrijkste gastenverblijf, waar we drie kamers in hebben gemaakt en een grote 'woonkamer' waar alle gasten van kunnen genieten. Daar snort een houtkachel, hangt een hangmat en staat een goed geoutilleerde keuken. De kamerprijs is inclusief ontbijt, maar om de kosten te besparen kan een eigen ontbijtje gemaakt worden. Aan de rand van ons erf hebben we een tuinhuis voor twee personen en een boomhut, een ontwerp van Frank Havermans. In de tuin staat een open koetshuis met een houtkachel en daar vlakbij is het buitenbad, ofwel de Dutchtub.

Positive Experiences
Een fantastisch mooie Bed and Breakfast, één van de bijzonderste plekjes waar wij zijn geweest. Behalve voor ons, was het ook voor onze hond een groot feest. Gastvrouwen Edith en Lille hebben een waar paradijsje gecreeerd en zijn daarin helemaal geslaagd. Wat ons betreft zeker voor herhaling vatbaar, wij zijn benieuwd naar Noord-Frankrijk in zomertijd.
