Find the countryside ambiance at Farmhouse “Aan de Reef”, situated at a distance of only 16km from Amsterdam. From the guest house, you have a beautiful view at the natural reserve ‘De Reef’. It’s an important brooding area for meadow birds, a must for nature lovers! The attraction of the area is the combination of the wide landscape, typical Zaanse wooden houses and wooden clocks, 17th century wind mills and industrial monuments along the river ‘de Zaan’. It’s very easy to visit Amsterdam by train (10 min) and one of Holland’s top tourist destinations the 'Zaanse Schans'(5 km). You can reach the beach in 1 hour by bike or 20 min by car. You can also enjoy the nature by bicycle tour, kayak, boat etc.Our farmhouse is characterized by the square single roof construction which is typical for the north-west region of the Netherlands. The guest house (ca. 130m²) used to be a hay loft from which the cows were fed during winter. Now, it is a luxurious accommodation. WWW.BB-AANDEREEF.NL

Positive Experiences
Geweldige B&B, een appartement groter dan ons eigen en heel sfeervol ingericht. Je voelt je er thuis! Het ontbijt (de broodjes) worden 'sochtends vers van de bakker gehaald en aan de deur bezorgd, zo hoef je er niet speciaal voor op te staan. De rest is aanwezig in het appartement, 3 soorten vleeswaren, 2 soorten kaas, vruchtensap, melk, karnemelk, yoghurt in meerdere smaken, muesli, crackers, zoet beleg, fruit, noem maar op. Alles voor een prima ontbijt! De gastvrouw is eer vriendelijk en beleefd en als we er langer waren gebleven had ze vast heel goede tips gegeven voor een dagje weg.

For improvement
eigenlijk geen verbeterpunt, maar de trap naar het appartement is vrij steil en glad en dat vond ik wat eng.

We hebben genoten van het zeer ruime appartement. Het ontbijt, met verse broodjes van de bakker, was een lekkere start van de dag. Een centrale plek voor uitstapjes. De vriendelijke gastvrouw gaf ons nog allerlei tips, zodat we genoten hebben van deze 3 dagen.

prettige rustige ontvangst. Toen de gastvrouw hoorde dat we haast hadden trok ze zich na de echt nodige informatie z.s.m. terug.
Het is een hééél ruim en mooi en strak apartement; heerlijke bedden; prachtig uitzicht
