Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password. In the menu, go to 'My mention'. Here you have the possibility to adjust your contact information, description, caracteristics, room information, photos etc.
How can I adjust my rates?
First log in to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password.
- In the menu, go to 'My mention' and click 'Room rates'.
- You can now see the 1 and 2 person rates of your first room. If you want, you can subsequently click another room to adjust the rates.
Fill out your new 1 and 2 person rates and click 'save'. Note: Fill out the rate of your room in high season, including breakfast and possible taxes. You can fill out the rates for low season through the link 'click here to easily vary your rates' (see question 5).
How can I insert different day-to-day prices for my rooms?
With the price table you can adjust your rates per period very precisely. First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password.
- In the menu, go to 'My mention' and click 'Room rates'.
- You can now see the 1 and 2 person rates of your first room. If wanted you can click another room to adjust those rates too.
- Click 'Click here to easily vary with your prices'. The price table is opened.
- Follow the two steps to insert alternative rates for specific days or periods
Note: this function is only available for extensive mentions.
I would like to use different room rates on weekends. Is this possible?
Yes, that is possible. First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password.
- In the menu, go to 'My mention' and click 'Room rates'.
- You can now see the 1 and 2 person rates of your first room. If wanted you can click on another room to adjust those rates too.
- Click 'Click here to easily vary your rates'. The price table is opened.
- Click 'Step 1. Select dates'. Select a period, for example a few months.
- Now uncheck the boxes of all the week days, except Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday. Click 'Apply'.
- In the price table, all the weekends of the period of your choice are now selected. Fill out the new rates and click 'Save'.
Note: this function is only available for extensive mentions.
I would like to lower my rates in low season. How can I do that?
First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password.
- In the menu, go to 'My mention' and click 'Room rates'.
- You now see the 1 and 2 person rates of your first room. If wanted you can click another room to adjust those rates as well.
- Click 'Click here to simply vary with your rates'. The price table is opened.
- Click 'Step 1. Select dates' and Select the low season period. For example from 1 September to 1 June.
- Click 'Apply'.
- In the price table the low season is now selected. Fill out the new rates and click 'Save'.
Note: this function is only available for extensive mentions.
Can I copy the rates from one room to my other room?
Yes, this is possible. First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password.
- In the menu, go to 'My mention' and click 'Room rates'.
- You now see the 1 and 2 person rates of your first room. If wanted you can click another room to adjust those prices too.
- Click 'Click here to simply vary with your prices'.
- If wanted, adjust the prices.
- Scroll down and click 'Copy room rates to other room(s)'.
- Check the box of the room you would like to copy the rates too and click 'Save'.
Note: this function is only available for extensive mentions.
The location of my B&B is not correctly displayed on the map. How can I adjust this?
First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and pasword. In the menu, go to 'My mention' and click 'Location on the map'. You can drag the pink house with your mouse to adjust the location of your B&B.
How can I upload photos on my presentation page?
First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password. In the menu go to 'My mention' and click 'Pictures and videos'.
- In the upper insert field, type a short description of the picture (for example 'garden' or 'bathroom')
- In the second field, point out where you want to place the picture: at 'General' or with a room.
- Now click 'Choose file' or 'Browse'.
- In your computer, go to the picture you would like to place and click 'Open'. The picture will be uploaded and the file name will appear on the screen.
- Click 'Send'. The picture is now added to the pictures on your presentation page.
In this way you can upload 18 general pictures and also 4 photos per room. You can change the order of the pictures with the arrows on the left side of the pictures.
I can't succeed in adding photos to my presentation page. What could be the problem?
It is possible that your picture does not meet our requirements. Your picture must meet the following requirements:
- Size: maximum of 2 MB
- File type: JPEG, GIF, PNG or BMP
- Size of a general picture: minimum of 310 pixels wide and 240 pixels tall.
- Size of room picture: minimum of 155 pixels wide and 116 pixels tall.
The photo I just added meets all the requirements, but despite this it is not visible on my presentation page. Why is that?
It is possible that you are viewing an old version of your presentation page. You can check this as follows: Go to your presentation page and hit the F5 key on your keyboard. Or click the page with your right mouse button and in the quick menu choose 'refresh'. Your presentation page is now refreshed and new changes become visible.
How can I add a video?
You can easily add a video to your presentation page. You first need to place your video on YouTube. Then log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password and follow the steps below:
- Go to 'My listing' and click 'Pictures and videos'.
- Click 'Add video'.
- Copy/paste the URL of your YouTube video in the upper field.
- Type in a short description of the video in the second field.
- Add translations by clicking on the little flags.
- Click ‘Save'.
A link to your YouTube video will appear on your presentation page.
How often is my paged being viewed?
You can see this in your statistics. First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password. In the menu, go to 'My account' and click 'Statistics'. You can now see how many people visited your presentation page in the last period.
How do I end up higher in the search results of Bedandbreakfast.eu?
First of all, you end up higher in the list when you have an extensive mention on Bedandbreakfast.eu. In addition, you end up higher in the list when you:
- have a good description of your B&B;
- add translations;
- add pictures;
- add new reservations to the availability calendar;
- have a high review score.
How do I become one of the 'recommendables' on the homepage of Bedandbreakfast.eu?
All B&B's with an extensive mention are promoted as 'recommendable'. They are displayed as recommendable B&B on the homepage in their turn.
What is link switch?
Link switch is a system to let both Bedandbreakfast.eu and your own website perform better in search engines such as Google. This can be done by 'linking' to each other. We place a link to your website on
www.bedandbreakfast.eu/links. In your turn, you place a link to Bedandbreakfast.eu on your website. This way, we make our websites more 'important' and thereby better to find by search engines.

Key words are also called 'search terms' or 'catch words'. Examples of key words are: apartment, kitchen, swimming pool, sauna, luxury, private, free wireless internet, pets, the name of your residence, names of important tourist sites in the vicinity, bath, and so on. Make sure you use enough key words in your texts on Bedandbreakfast.eu. If you use key words wisely, your B&B will be better found. On Bedandbreakfast.eu it is very simple to add key words.

How can I add translations?
Log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login and follow these steps:
- In the menu click 'My Mention' > 'Description'.
- Click on the flags next to the input fields to add the text in other languages.
- Click 'Save'.
Tip: use
Google Translate to translate your texts and ask your foreign guests to check these machine translations.
When I insert my island as 'Destination', my B&B is not shown. How is this possible?
Is your bed & breakfast situated on an island but is this not visible on Bedandbreakfast.eu? You can easily solve this. Log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login and follow these steps:
- Go to 'My listing' > 'Contact information.
- At address information fill out the name of the island you are located on at 'Island'.
- Click 'Save'.
From now on, your bed and breakfast is shown with the B&B's on the island.

How do I register for a mention on Bedandbreakfast.eu?
My place of residence is not recognised during registering, what do I do?
If your residence cannot be found in the list, then please click 'Are you unable to find your residence in the above list?' You can now fill out your residence yourself and proceed with the registration. We will check the name of your residence and make sure it is added to Bedandbreakfast.eu as soon as possible.
How long does it take until my B&B is displayed on Bedandbreakfast.eu?
After receipt of your payment, your B&B is immediately displayed on Bedandbreakfast.eu. You will receive a notification of this by e-mail.
Reservations
How can I view my reservation requests?
First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your email address and password. In the menu, in the upper side of the screen go to 'My Reservations' and click 'Reservation Requests'. You now see the overview of reservation requests. Click on a request to view it, adjust it or to respond to it.
How do I answer a reservation request?
As soon as someone fills out the reservation request form, you will receive an email from us. In this email you find all the contact information the requestee filled out. You now have two options:
- You can contact the guest by calling them or by sending them an email with your own email programm.
- You can also choose to respond through the reservation system of Bedandbreakfast.eu. In the above mentioned email you then click the pink button that says 'Respond immediately'.
Responding via the reservation system is fast and simple thanks to the standard email templates. Additional advantage: Permanent reservations will automatically be placed in your availability calendar. However you do have to adjust the status of the request first.
Do I have to log in every time I want to view a new reservation request?
No, that is not necessary. Go to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login and make sure the box at 'remember me' is checked. If this is the case, your computer will remember your information. Due to this, you can view your reservation requests straight from your e-mail. Logging in again is only necessary occasionally, for safety reasons.
Why do I need to be logged in to view a new reservation request?
You can only fully use all functions of the reservation system if you are logged in. All your reservations will be shown conveniently arranged underneath each other. You can immediately respond to a new request and read back old correspondence. All reservations are automatically shown in the availability calendar on your presentation page. Due to this, guests always have an up-to-date insight into your availability. In addition, they will automatically receive a review form after their stay.
What advantages does the reservation system offer me?
With the reservation system you can control your reservation requests and bookings in a flexible way. All your reservations and options will automatically be placed in an availability calendar. The reservation system with connected availability will offer you:
- Flexibility: you can add reservations that are made outside Bedandbreakfast.eu to the availability calendar yourself.
- Overview: visitors will have a direct insight in the availability of your B&B
- Check: you prevent double bookings.
- Safety: only guests that are registered in the sytem receive a review form from Bedandbreakfast.eu.
- Convenience: correspondance is easy, thanks to the e-mail templates in six languages.
Where can I find the e-mail correspondence with my guest?
You can find all information about the request, including the e-mail correspondence in the overview of reservations. In the owner service, go to 'My Reservations' and click 'Reservation Requests'. Click the envelope behind the reservation request to open the e-mail correspondence.
What are e-mail templates?
E-mail templates are standard e-mails that you can use to answer reservation requests fast. The e-mail templates are available in 6 languages. You can adjust the templates to your wishes and create your own, new template.
How can I change the status of a reservation request?
Go to 'My Reservations' and click 'Reservation Requests'. You now see an overview of reservation requests.
- Click on a reservation request to view it.
- The information now appears on your screen. Below in the screen, click 'Adjust'.
- A new screen will open. In the upper part of the screen you will see the status of the request, for example: 'Untreated'.
- Change the status of the request, for example to 'Cancelled' or 'Reservation' and click 'Save'.
If you give a reservation request the status 'Reservation', it will be placed in your availability calendar. Visitors can then see that you have no availability on those days.
What is the 'Inbox' in the owner service for?
All new reservation requests will end up in your 'Inbox'. New reservation requests automatically get the status 'Untreated'. It is important that you actively take every new reservation request into treatment. You can do this by adjusting the status of the request.
What is the 'Overview' under the 'Inbox' in the owner service meant for?
In the overview, all reservation requests you have taken into treatment are arranged per month, based on the arrival date. Hereby you can always see who stayed in your B&B in which month and which requests you have turned down or cancelled. You can find the 'Overview' underneath the 'Inbox'.
In my 'Inbox' are reservation requests with the status 'Untreated'. How can I remove that notification?
You can solve this by changing the status of the reservation requests. You can do this as follows. Go to 'My Reservations' and click 'Reservation Requests'. You now see an overview of reservation requests.
- Click on a reservation request to view it.
- The information now appears on your screen. Below in the screen, click 'Adjust'.
- A new screen will open. In the upper part of the screen you will see that the status of the request says: 'Untreated'.
- Change the status of the request, for example to 'Cancelled' or 'Reservation' and click 'Save'.
By doing this you have taken the reservation request into treatment. The reservation request is now no longer in your 'Inbox' but has moved to 'Overview'.
What does the 'Untreated' status in my Inbox mean? Do my guests see this as well?
Your guests do not see this notification. The 'Untreated' status also doesn’t mean that your guests did not receive a response from you either, so you don’t have to worry about that. The 'Untreated' status means that the system of Bedandbreakfast.eu doesn’t know what happened to a reservation request. You can simply solve this by changing the status of the request. Go to the owner service and follow these steps:
- In the menu, go to 'My Reservations' > 'Reservation Requests'.
- Click on the concerning request. The information now appears on your screen. Below in the screen, click 'Adjust'.
- A new screen will open. In the upper part of the screen you will see that the status of the request says 'Untreated'.
- Change the status of the request, for example to 'Cancelled' or 'Reservation', and click 'Save'.

In the overview, all reservation requests you have taken into treatment are arranged per month, based on the arrival date. You can remove a reservation request from the overview by clicking the small trash icon behind the request. The request will then be moved to 'Trash', at the bottom of the page.
How can I remove a reservation request permanently?
First you have to remove the reservation request from the 'Inbox' and the 'Overview'. The reservation request will then end up in the 'Trash', at the bottom of the page. Here you can permanently remove the request be clicking on the red cross to the far right.
I answered a reservation request. Now I can’t find the request in the overview with 'My Reservations'. What now?
It is possible that you are viewing the overview of the wrong month. When a guest – for example- makes a request for September in the month of April, you will find the request in the overview of September. This is how you can view the overviews for the various months:
- Go to the owner service and in the menu, click on 'My Reservations'> 'Reservation Requests'.
- On the page, scroll down to 'Overview'. ('Overview' can be found between 'Inbox' and 'Bin').
- At 'Overview' you can find the requests you have taken into consideration. Standardly, all requests from the current month are shown.
- By clicking on the current month, you can go to the overviews for the other months. You might find the request you are looking for there.
Availability calendar
How does the availability calendar work?
The availability calendar shows the availability in your B&B. You can display the availability per room. The availability calendar is directly connected to the reservation system. As soon as you change the status of a reservation request to 'Reservation', the concerning dates and room(s) will be marked not available in the calendar.
Which advantages does the availability calendar have?
Using the availability calendar has various advantages:
- Your B&B will end up higher in the search results on Bedandbreakfast.eu.
- You will prevent from having to turn down guests when there is no room available.
- You will prevent double bookings.
- Part of good information supply is accurate information about the availability in your B&B. The availability calendar is a useful tool for that.
- When you keep your availability calendar up to date, visitors of Bedandbreakfast.eu will sooner make a reservation request at your B&B.
Can I add bookings that don't come in via Bedandbreakfast.eu to the availability calendar?
Yes, you can. First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password. In the menu, go to 'My Reservations' and click 'Availability Calendar'. In the calendar, click the concerning date and add the reservation. Your guest will automatically receive a review form when he or she gets home.
Can I place the calendar on my own website?
Yes you can. First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password. In the menu, go to 'My Reservations' and click on the 'Availability Calendar'. Click the button 'Free calendar on your website' and follow the steps.
Can I turn off the availability calendar?
No, that is not possible. The availability calendar is always shown on your presentation page. Therefore it is important to add new bookings to your availability calendar. You can do this by changing the status of reservation requests from 'untreated' to 'option' or 'reservation':
- Go to 'My Reservations' and click 'Reservation Requests'. You now see an overview of reservation requests.
- Click on a reservation request to view it.
- Click 'Adjust' to adjust the status.
If you give a reservation request the status 'Reservation', it will be placed in your availability calendar. Visitors can then see that you have no availability on those days.
How do I make sure new options and reservations are placed in the availability calendar?
Did the guest make a reservation via the system of Bedandbreakfast.eu and is the option or reservation definite? Then log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login and follow these steps:
- In the menu, go to 'My Reservations' and click 'Reservation Requests'. You now see an overview of reservation requests.
- Click on the reservation request in question to view it. A new screen will open.
- At the bottom of this screen, click 'Adjust'.
- Again, a new screen will open. In the upper part of the screen you can see that the status of the request says 'Untreated'.
- Change the status into 'Option' or 'Reservation' and click 'Save'.
If you now look at your availability calendar, you can see that the option/reservation is added to the calendar. Did your guest make a reservation outside the system of Bedandbreakfast.eu, for example by telephone? Then manually add the reservation to the availability calendar.
How can I manually add a reservation to the availability calendar?
Reservations that are made outside of Bedandbreakfast.eu can be manually added to the calendar, for a complete overview. In the owner service, go to 'My Reservations'> 'Reservation Requests' and click the button 'Add Reservation'.
- Fill out the information of the reservation.
- In the upper part of your screen you can see that the status standardly says 'Option'. It is possible to change this to 'Reservation'.
- Click 'Add'.
The reservation is now added to your overview and to the availability calendar.
Could I make days unavailable in the availability calendar even though there is no reservation on that date?
In the availability calendar you can simply make days or periods unavailable, whether there are guests are not. You can do this as follows:
- In the calendar, click on a day you want to make unavailable.
- A new screen is opened. In the lower right corner, click 'Make date unavailable'.
- Choose the start and end date of the period during which your B&B is unavailable.
- Check the unavailable room(s) and click 'Save'.
The date or period you've selected is now made unavailable in the calendar.
Reviews
What is a review?
A review is a written opinion or experience of a bed & breakfast guest. Reviews help visitors of Bedandbreakfast.eu choose a bed & breakfast.
How can my guests write a review?
Your guests will automatically receive a review form when you change the status of their reservation request to 'reservation'. They will receive the review form the day after they return home.
How can I get more reviews?
We can only send your guests a review form when they are registered in the Bedandbreakfast.eu system. Your guests automatically receive a review form if their reservation request has the 'reservation' status. Pay attention to the following:
- Has a reservation request been confirmed? Then change the status to 'reservation' immediately.
- Has a reservation been made outside Bedandbreakfast.eu? Then manually add this to the availability calendar.
This way you will keep your overview of reservations up-to-date and all your guests will receive a review form.
My guest made a reservation by telephone. How do I make sure he/she gets a review form?
Add the reservation to the availability calendar manually. Your guest will then receive a review form by e-mail on the day after they return home.
Can guests who booked outside of Bedandbreakfast.eu also write a review?
Yes, they can. Manually add the reservation to your availability calendar on Bedandbreakfast.eu. Your guest will then automatically receive an invitation to write a review after they return home.
Can I prevent a guest who did not stay in my B&B from writing a review?
Sometimes a reservation request is rejected but the guest concerned still writes a review. You can prevent this by changing the status of the request in question to ‘Rejected’ or ‘Cancelled’. You can do this as follows:
- In the owner service, go to 'My Reservations' and 'Reservation Requests'.
- Click on the request in question and subsequently click 'Adjust'.
- Change the status to ‘Cancelled’ or 'Rejected'.
Now, the applicant will not receive an invitation to write a review on Bedandbreakfast.eu.
Which guide lines does a guest review have to meet?
The following rules apply to guest reviews:
- Advertisings, incorrect or deliberately damaging information, obscene language and discriminating and insulting texts are not allowed.
- Reviews not just contain figures, but an explenation as well.
- The opinion of others must be respected.
- Anonymous reviews or reviews under a false name can be removed.
- Only when a guest actually stayed in a B&B, is he or she allowed to write a review about it.
- A B&B owner is not allowed to write a review about his own accommodation. The same applies to other stakeholders.
- Bedandbreakfast.eu has the right to alternate or remove reviews that don't meet the guide lines, without further explanation.
I do not agree with a guest review. What can I do?
Bedandbreakfast.eu strives to be an open and transparent comparison website. A review that meets the guide lines, can therefore not be removed. A review sometimes contains critical remarks. Try to approach this in a positive way:
- What one guests experiences as negative, might be less important or even a positive point for another guest.
- You can learn from a critical review and use it to your advantage.
- A single negative review between mostly positive responses creates a more credible image of your B&B than only positive responses would.
Our advice: respect the opinion of the guest and avoid discussion afterwards.

With an extensive mention you will end up higher in the list and therefore you can count on more visitors. Other extras are: a link to your own website, visitor statistics, Google Street View, a simple way to vary your room rates and the option to place a video on your presentation page. Can I temporarily make my bed & breakfast invisible on Bedandbreakfast.eu?
Yes, this is possible. First log on to
Bedandbreakfast.eu/login with your e-mail address and password. Now follow the following steps:
- Extensive mention: in the menu, go to 'My Account'. Click 'My listing' and subsequently 'Remove temporarily from the internet or terminate permanently'.

It is possible that you don’t have an extensive mention yet. Google Street View is only available for extensive mentions. Do you have an extensive mention but is Google Street View still not visible with your location information? In that case, Google does not have any images of your street yet. Google is quickly collecting new images worldwide. As soon as pictures of your street become available, Google Street View will automatically be activated on your presentation page.

What is a Virtual Google Tour?
Just like there is Google Street View for outside areas, there is now an ‘Inside Street View’, the so-called ´Virtual Google Tour’. It looks like a movie, but they are actually photos connected together by means of software. With this technique it is possible to have sort of a look inside a B&B.

Yes, you can with an extensive mention. In the Innkeeper Service go to ‘My Mention’ and click ‘Location on Map’. Subsequently, go to ‘Virtual Google Tour’ and follow the steps.
