After twenty steps outside your door, you are in the woods and have many kilometres of walking and cycling paths at your disposal. Texel is famous for its stunning natural beauty and wide variety of fauna and flora. About 2 km from Balsemien is the Nature Centre for Wadden and North Sea, ECOMARE, where hungry seals are fed every day at 11:00 and 15:00. Texel has 35 km of white pristine beach. The vast mudflats still enchant many hearts. Between beach, dunes and mud flats, a fascinating world full of birds, plants, clouds, romantic skies and pristine natural beauty awaits your eager eyes.
