Okkingastate is a farm with a rich history. Once owned by a statesman, it is now an organic farm home to cows, calves, a few chickens and cats, and an old apple orchard. We work in harmony with nature as much as possible, and we would love to tell you more about it. The farm is situated on the *terpen* (ancient dwelling mounds) near the Wadden Sea coast, between the port city of Harlingen and the former university town of Franeker—famous for its planetarium. From here, you can enjoy unique cycling trips, experience local culture, dine out, and easily visit the islands.
