Jacobshoeve Bakkum (municipality of Castricum) is a traditional 'stolp' farmhouse dating from 1930. The holiday cottage is located in the front section of the farmhouse and has its own private entrance. This holiday cottage is completely energy-neutral, equipped with a geothermal heat pump for heating and cooling, as well as solar panels for our energy needs. The farmhouse is situated on a dead-end street, nestled between farms and nature reserves. The beach is 3 km away, accessible by bike or on foot through the North Holland Dune Reserve. It is also a fantastic area for cycling and walking from Haarlem to Den Helder. The backyard opens onto beautiful fields bordering the Seerijdtsdijkje and Zuiddijk nature reserves. The bus stops approximately 200 meters away. Castricum train station is about 3 km further on, providing excellent public transport access to Amsterdam, Haarlem, and Alkmaar.
