Buitenlui Zandhuizen

Nestled amongst the expansive meadows of Friesland, near the border with Overijssel and Drenthe, lies our own little island, hidden in the green. A place where time slows down, where silence is audible, and where you can truly come to yourself. The B&B is located in the rear part of our farmhouse: a spacious and atmospheric space of over 75 m², which you have all to yourself. You overlook the beautiful esker and your own piece of garden, where birds fly back and forth – and with a bit of luck, the squirrels will playfully scamper through the trees and the roe deer will make an appearance. The place is a wonderful base for discovering one of the most surprising regions of the Netherlands: From here, you can cycle or walk to many beautiful places. The beautiful Drents-Friese Wold, the Colonies of Benevolence, and the other Friesland with its varied landscape of forests, heathlands, meadows and cozy villages with nice restaurants and bars to unwind from all the beauty.
