In the Frisian town of Winsum lies this beautifully restored national monumental farm from 1560. The farm is called Boskpleats but is generally called 't Bosk. Over the farm the shadow of an old lime tree (Tilia) falls and with chickens and sheep and a beautiful ornamental garden the place breathes a special and unique atmosphere. Rural tranquility and space in the Frisian greidhoeke with its small villages and old churches. Within cycling distance is Franeker with the incomparable planetarium of Eise Eisinga and also Leeuwarden is nearby. In terms of nature, the Wadden Sea with its spectacular skies should of course not be unmentioned.
