The Barnyard is a B&B in our former farm in the Dutch village Garminge with a welcoming atmosphere of personal service with genuine attention to the guest. The B&B is fully equipped for both the individual guest and a weekend with family or friends. In a rural setting our comfortable lodges with the original roof trusses still breathe the atmosphere of the old farmhouse. Different accent colors and warm fabrics give each lodge an individual character. The decor is contemporary and equipped with all comforts. The breakfast room with terrace overlooks the landscape of Drenthe. In close proximity there are several nature reserves like the "Dwingelderveld" and "Mantingerzand". The heritage village of Orvelte has quaint shops and Westerbork offers a wide choice of restaurants. For those who want a shopping trip Assen, Emmen, Hoogeveen and Groningen are easily accessible. The Golf Club the Gelpenberg is just a 9 minutes drive from the B&B
