In 2013 we (Oebele Veenstra & Sietske Abma) moved into our new villa in De Wilgen (outlying Drachten). Thanks to this position, amenities (restaurants, museums, theater, shops) are close. The location is excellent for nature enthusiasts (hikers, cyclists and mountain bikers). Environmental features: North: water, lakes East + South: forest, tree walls West: pastures Cities: Groningen: 39 Km; Leeuwarden: 33 Km The bedrooms and breakfast room are accessed via a private entrance of our outbuilding. The 2 bedrooms are on the 1st floor. On request bedroom 2 can be extended by an extra bedroom, suitable for 1 adult or 2 children. On the ground floor the communal lounge-breakfast room is overlooking the beautiful countryside. From the sofa sheep and with some luck deer and birds of prey can be seen. In case of nice weather, breakfast can be served on the guest terrace (day around sun), a great spot for a glass of wine in the evening sun too. Sauna-fitness basement: € 20 per day.
