Sleeping in a mill in the middle of nature, an experience !! The 120-year-old mill has many authentic details surprisingly combined with modern colors and trendy furniture. From your bed you look through the glass ceiling at the wooden gear wheel, which can be illuminated in the evening. The bathroom is small, but modern and offers a great view over the meadows while showering. The mill is located in the Groene Ster nature reserve (also known as the Kleine Wielen), not far from Leeuwarden. It is surprising to find such a beautiful nature reserve so close to the city. You can walk through the wetland and bird-rich area from the mill, past meadows and a lake. Close by is also a recreational area with a beach, where you can swim and sunbathe in the summer. In 15 minutes you are in the center of Leeuwarden where you can enjoy shopping, grab a terrace, book a street art tour or take a cruise through the canals.
