De Oude Wagenmakerij is situated in the beautiful and very old village of Holwert in the province of Friesland. The bed and breakfast occupies the entire first floor and is rented out to one party at a time. There are two bedrooms with a total of four beds. A mattress could be added for a fifth person. The toilet is separate from the bathroom with sink and walk-in shower. In the guest room you can play games or quietly read a book. The old Wagenmakerij is on a quiet street in the middle of Holwert. There is a supermarket within walking distance, as well as a bus stop with buses to and from Leeuwarden and Dokkum. The boat to Ameland sails from the pier, about 2.5 km away. Dining options in Holwert are restaurant Zee van Tijd and cafeteria Het Amelander Veerhuis. Outside the village on the pier is restaurant Land and Zeezicht. This is a beautiful area for walking and cycling. Dokkum, 8 km away, is also a lovely city to visit.
