Welcome to La Mariposa Azul, our B&B in the village Ermelo and located rurally. La Mariposa Azul is a detached holiday home with private access. Non-smoking on the entire premises. La Mariposa Azul offers charging points for electric bikes and is a great place from which to explore the surrounding area. The village of Ermelo, the Hanseatic town Harderwijk, the Veluwe woods and the beaches of Wolderwijd are all within easy cycling distance. There are also several great walking trails in the area. Our B&B is actually right on the Westerbork trail that runs from the Hollandse schouwburg in Amsterdam, used in WWII by the occupying Germans as a collection centre for Jews, to what was Camp Westerbork in WWII. A special trail with a noteworthy theme. Local sightseeing spots include the windmills in Ermelo and Harderwijk. Harderwijk also has several museums, including the delightful Marius van Dokkum Museum, a city beach, a recently renovated boulevard and a wide variety of restaurants.
