Beautiful cycling routes lead to Westerbork, museum village Orvelte or Boswachterij Gees. Centrally located between Assen, Hoogeveen and Emmen, De Ekkelstee is also the starting point to discover beautiful Drenthe by car, e.g. Dwingelderveld National Park, the Hunebed Center in Borger or the fortified town of Coevorden.
