B&B Slaap Lekker (Sleep Well) is situated on the outskirts of Dokkum, one of the historical Eleven Cities of Friesland. The appartment (nearly 50 m2) is next to the biggest city park, and only a 15 minute walk away from the picturesque city center. Up to four people can stay here (a two person bed and a two person sofa bed). Dokkum is well known for it beautiful strongholds, the canals surrounded by historical buildings and windmills, the Admiralty, the Ice Fountain and the Chapel of Bonifatius. But also, the lovely terraces, cosy shopping streets are worth visiting. There are several local breweries as well, if one fancies a taste of local beers. Dokkum is 'next door' (20 minutes) to Wadden Sea World Heritage, for an unforgettable hike or a visit to one of the islands. Park Vijversburg (a historical forest and park) or natural reserve It Bûtenfjild are within 15 minutes of the B&B. And Frisian capitol Leeuwarden is also just half an hours drive away.
