Located between farmlands, forest and Reitdiep with many walking, cycling and riding one, that lead the way in all directions to include the picturesque fishing village of Salt Camp (500m), the Park Lauwersmeer (1.5 km) and the National National Landscape Afternoon-Humsterland (2 km). From here to visit the historic villages such Wierden Garnwerd, Feerwerd and Ezinge the Wierden Museum or Houwerzijl with the Tea Museum, Pieterburen with the seals and the many workshops his visits. There are make to Dokkum, daytrips Ameland, Schiermonnikoog, Groningen or Leeuwarden, but you can especially enjoy the peace, space and clean air.
