Stadsherberg Heeremastate is a BedandBreakfast in a monumental building in the heart of Bolsward. Despite being located in the city centre, the peace that surrounds the property is a breath of fresh air. At the Heeremastate, you can stay stylishly in the atmosphere of yesteryear and with the luxury of today. The B&B Heeremastate used to be inhabited by the Heerema family. Around 1830, we see that the ‘Heeremastate’ consists of the current building and adjacent properties. In the early 20th century, the ‘Heeremastate’ fell into disrepair, with a severe storm in 1972 almost ‘demolishing’ the house. In 1974, the state was restored to the old style of a city farm. The Heeremastate has 4 rooms with private sanitary facilities. The room rate is complete with Frisian breakfast. There is a tourist tax, €1.25 per person per night.
