The Hemmele at Maria's is a B&B and writing retreat. You will find peace, there is space and you have an unobstructed view over the fields. This is exactly why my B&B is an excellent place to work on a writing project undisturbed. But not compulsory! You are also very welcome if you don't want to write, but still want that peace, space and view! You can also cycle (you can borrow); the field cross at the beginning of our dike is on the cycle route "Langs Kerken, Kruisen en Kapelletjes" (Along Churches, Crosses and Chapels) and is just one example of the many cycling possibilities. From the B&B it is also possible to walk entirely unpaved to Zieuwent and beyond, or back again. The Koolmansdijk nature reserve is out the front door and just around the corner. But you can also just relax in the orchard (bring your own hammock); just 'being' in our beautiful Achterhoek!
