Staying on a farm (1900) in Ter Aar, South Holland, with a large rustic garden with valuable old trees. An elongated thatched farmhouse forms the heart. It has been thoroughly renovated and modernly furnished while retaining classic style elements, such as a monumental beamed ceiling, classic tiled floors in the hall and old-fashioned windows overlooking a beautiful garden. Hostess and host are Edith & Frank, besides the Bed & Breakfast they also own a butcher shop that is located next to the farm, together with a café, farmershop and Butchery. De Boerderij has 3 bedrooms with private bathroom (sink, shower, toilet). Everything is located just outside the built-up area of Ter Aar (municipality of Nieuwkoop). It is located in the middle of a rural and wetland area in the Randstad. Cities such as Amsterdam (30 km), Leiden (17 km), Utrecht (48 km) and Noordwijk beach (17 km) are quick and easy to reach.
