B&B de schapenschuur is beautifully situated in the rural surroundings of Terwispel. The old sheep barn has been renovated and transformed into 2 luxury flats with their own entrance, private bathroom, a lovely bed and a private terrace. In our former farmyard, chickens scratch around and we have 3 goats and 2 donkeys walking in the meadow. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy walking and cycling. Across the water is the Van Oordts Merksen nature reserve, which has a lovely footpath, but you can also enjoy walking or mountain biking in the Beetsterzwaagse woods. The villages of Gorredijk, Heerenveen and Drachten are nearby, where you can enjoy shopping or eating out. In short, a great place to explore Friesland.
