Beegden is a small friendly village between the Maasplassen, where silence can be heard: the ideal environment to unwind. Upon arrival, real Limburg flan is waiting for you. The enjoyment can begin. Beegden is one of the eight cores that make up the municipality of Maasgouw. Many cores have an old characteristic centre such as the white town of Thorn, Stevensweert and Wessem with its cosy terraces on the river Maas. In the immediate vicinity of Beegden are many cycling and walking routes and the nature reserves Beegderheide and Tuspeel, De Lange Vlieter, one of the Maasplassen (created by de-grouting) is a five-minute walk away and is a beautiful area for bird watching, among other things. The historic episcopal city of Roermond with Designer Outlet is five km away. National Park de Meinweg is twelve km away.
