Staying in a medieval historical unique. The guesthouse is located in an old Saxon farmhouse on the edge of the beautiful Drenthe village of Zeijen, about 5 km north of Assen. Zeijen is located in beautiful rural surroundings, with heathlands, woods, moors and sandy paths. From the farmhouse, you can take beautiful walks and cycle tours in an old ash landscape. The oak trusses of the farm restored in 2004 are unique, as no other farm in the Netherlands is known to have an almost complete, authentic medieval truss construction. Research has shown that the trusses date back to 1517! A guesthouse has been built in the farmhouse with hall, lounge/ kitchen, toilet, bedroom and bathroom with shower. The guesthouse is equipped with modern comforts. We rent for a minimum of 2 nights.
